Training - Workshop on the Construction of Improvised or
Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Science Equipment
It was in November of 2001 that it was first launch at DepEd-Ecotech Center, Cebu City. It was participated by almost a hundred science teachers and supervisors coming from all regions in the country. For the first time that the teachers and supervisors were able to make their own science equipment. From then on a series of seminar-workshops were conducted in the different parts of the country upon requests of the DepEd Division offices.

DIY Seminar-Workshop conducted at Iligan City in February 2002.

Teachers and grade VI pupils of Panglao Elementary School, Panglao, Bohol in Cooperative-Learning session in making DIY science equipment setups for their science class. The workshop runs for two days and each group was able to make 5 different set-ups including the improvised alcohol lamp.

Training - Workshop on the Repair and Maintenance of
Science Equipment Like Microscopes, Balances & etc.,
The Repair and Maintenance focuses on microscopes and beam balances because these are expensive and most common science equipment that can be found in the school. Teachers from different region in the country have been trained to do some minor repair and maintenance on these science equipment.

Training - Workshop on the Use of NSTIC-Developed
Science Equipment
Part of the package that NSTIC give to the recipient schools are the trainings on the Use and Care of the equipment. The training gives teachers the knowledge to fully utilize the NSTIC science equipment. Aside from the training the package also contain the User's Manual and Experimentation Manual. A video presentation on the assembly and care of the equipment is also include for easy reference.
