Standard Science Equipment

Mass-Produced and Distributed

SciKit A - Multi-Purpose Science Equipment composed of items for stand sets and clamps. This batch of equipment will serve as the stand set for the succeeding science kits. Scikit A can also be utilize in chemistry and General Science aside from being a stand set for other scikits to follow. This set of equipment have been distributed to 1,651 recipient schools throughout the country.

SciKit B - Physics Mechanics

A subject-specific science kit for Physics such as Laws of Motions, Momentum, Simple Machines and Friction. This set of science equipment can make up to 16 different experiment set ups. It includes the set up for Projectile Motion and Free Fall set up. Together with this package are the User's Manual and The

Experimentation Manual and a video tape for easy reference on its assembly. There are 1,668 recipient schools have received Scikit B science equipment.

Ready For Mass-Production

The set for Basic Electricity and The Electricity and Magnetism is already on its final development stage and will be ready for mass production soon.

On-Process

Other science equipment that are on prototyping process are items for Basic Electricity, Electricity and Magnetism, Electronics and Optics and some other items for General Science, Biology and Chemistry.

DO-IT-YOURSELF SCIENCE EQUIPMENT

General Science  |  Biology  |  Chemistry  |  Physics  Elementary Science

The Do-It-Yourself Science Equipment is another program developed by DepED-NSTIC to address the lack of science equipment in government schools.  As the name suggests, these equipment are the kind that teachers will have to make themselves.  The teachers will be trained and provided with a complete guide on how to construct the equipment.

The DIY design utilizes the blue PVC pipe and fittings and aluminum curtain rail for the main parts.  Bulldog clips replace the expensive laboratory clamps. Other parts use common household items such as drinking straws, party cups, empty soda cans, empty mineral water bottles, etc.

DIY is presented here according to subject but this does not limit the teacher to use it in different topics as long as it can help the students to understand the laws of science.

DIY Science  Equipment Ready for Teachers Training and Use

There are some newly developed and undergoing some minor modifications DIY science equipment model that will be ready for the next DIY training such as Overflow cup, Seismoscope, Hydrostatic Pressure Bottle,  Hydrostatic Pressure Sensor, U-Tube Manometer (ver.2), Capillary Tubes, Electromagnetism Kit, Stability Apparatus, and Magnetic Field Mapping Apparatus.    The construction manuals of these set ups will  soon  be ready and be posted at this site.
